I just picked upy husbands ashes from Simplicity cremation and funeral services. At first I was completely shocked at the building having being seventy years old I was expecting the typical stand alone funeral parlor, but once inside I was suddenly put at ease and resured of the inside, it is bright and you can feel the love and compassion in the air. All of the employees were very soft spoken and compassionate to me , they went the extra mile in filing my two little urns with my husband's reminds In my opinion everyone that works there goes way beyond what is expected of them , at the worst possible time .. Thank each and everyone of you and may GOD continue to keep you safe Mrs. Sandra Y.

They took the time to explain everything when my mom passed. They even helped us get a spot on a full Saturday to make sure my cousin was there to say her goodbyes cause my cousin was flying out very early the next day.

I just lost my dad on the fifth of July!! I was super worried that I wasn’t going to be able to afford to cremate him & bring him back home. Simplicity is definitely hands down the cheapest place in Maryland who cremate your loved one especially studded death!! Today I had to go up there to sign paperwork and I got to see my pop one last time!! The place was very clean I like that you can’t just walk right in the Director was very nice she made sure she went over everything with me and offered to stand in the room while I saw my pop!! I thought it be much worse since we couldn’t have a regular viewing but they had my pop wrapped up head to toe in sheets you could only see his face he was in a nice little room simplicity has definitely made me feel comfortable and I trust them with my pop!! I saw where you could prepaid for funeral costs ahead of time might look into that because I don’t ever want my kids have to go through this, but I highly recommend simplicity

My mother passed this week under hospice care. We'd used a different service for my father's cremation many years ago. Our hospice team spoke well of this service. We wanted privacy and compassion. What Simplicity provided was not only exactly as promised, they were lovely people who treated us like friends. Everything was done with kindness, caring and compassion. Mother loved wildflowers, and we'd picked some for her and one of her most beautiful dresses to be cremated in. The Simplicity team gave us private time with her beforehand, and had laid her out in elegance with the flowers around her head just as we had them. Their attention to the details and our feelings in a hard time was one of the finest examples of customer service I've ever experienced. All costs were easily understood, and all we asked for was what we got with excellence. No upselling, no pressure, no rush, just service with a warm heart. I can't say enough kind thanks to this team from the ladies who came for her body and spent time talking with us while helping pick wildflowers and look for four leafed clover to the ease of dealing with paperwork and closure. THANK YOU.

I just lost my mother who was the last of my family and simplicity made everything better for me. They helped me get through the loss of my mother and made the whole cremation process so easy for me. Meghan and Faith were very nice.

These people here are the most compassionate people that I've could not asked for more ,they really care it's not all about the money some times. I was told about them from a friend an she said they really care an she was right. Thank u for helping me throughout the worst time in my life. My wife was my world an after 40 yrs of marriage I was ready for another 40yrs She was my soul mate.

Simplicity was a godsend to me when my mother passed away in September 2017. My son was only 6 weeks old when my mother lost her battle with cancer. As her only child, I had to make the hard choices with planning her afterlife care. Simplicity and Mr. Allen was with me every step of the way. He and his staff were so compassionate and caring. They made me feel that I was a part of their family. I have never forgotten the kindness they afforded to me, their attention to detail, the compassion they bestowed, and the affordability for all of their services. I refer this company to others when asked who I went through to help with my mother. All these years later, I can't help but thank what they did for me and my family enough. Mr. Allen and his staff are surely the best!

They did our son's cremation in 2017 and the staff couldn't have been more caring and kind. His death was sudden and he had an autopsy but they carefully arranged the shroud so we could view him and brought one hand out from beneath the shroud so we could stroke his hand, and allowed us the time we needed to be with him without feeling rushed. We needed additional memorial cards for his service and they were able to provide them very quickly. His death was the most heartbreaking thing that has ever happened to me, but the kindness and compassion of the folks at Simplicity, particularly Tom, will never be forgotten.

Mr Allen is amazing! alex was great too, we were in a financially tough place as a lot of people are when something unexpected happens, as said before, theres no pressure here , they honestly help you, guide you even to get things done best you can. But Mr. Allens heart is good! the prices here were 1k plus lower then over 30 different places in the dmv…. myself and a family friend helped us call places , I want to truly thank this company and highly recommend this establishment to other people who would like to work with a business that truly does have compassion for its clients . Thank you on behalf of the Williams Family .

Amazing. The staff are gems. During this rough time they made me feel comfortable and secure. My Mom was treated with the up most respect. I would never bring a loved one anywhere else. There is no pressure, sales, confusion, or rushing. Everything was explained in detail. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you.

Tom is very respectful and courteous. He shared helpful stories and insight on coping and tying up loose ends. The accommodations and graciousness given by him has made a very stressful event easier to make time for mourning and remberance. If you are in need of their services, first I would say to you, God be with you and your family at this time of need, but then I would tell you to look no further and choose Simplicity. They really do make it much more "Simple."

Now I'm here again because of my brother's passing The ppl here at Simplicity are very professional, & caring.They don't try to price gouge.They are the type of business you don't want to use,but really appreciate them when you need their services.

We used Simplicity after the sudden passing of my nephew. David and his team were responsive, informative, compassionate and kind. Calls and emails were quickly returned. We used Simplicity's virtual process for direct cremation services and everything from e-signatures to pick-up went smoothly, all while being handled with care and compassion. Would recommend.

My mom passed on October 4th, 2022 and was cremated here and I have nothing but great things to say about Simplicity Creamation... They are very professional and very helpful... It only took a week to get my mom's ashes and death certificates!!! Do yourself a favor and allow Simplicity to take care of your loved ones!!!

Simplicity Cremation & Funeral was just that...they took an arduous difficult process and made it simple, calm, timely, and clean. Every member of the staff was accommodating and lovely to work with. While I hope I do not have to recommend this service to someone, if I do, Simplicity will be my first and top recommendation.

When my cousin recently passed, I worked with Celia at Simplicity Cremation. I was in Florida and trying to navigate everything as my cousin passed in Maryland.This was the first time anyone in my family had asked to be cremated so it was a new experience for me. Simplicity Cremation made everything extremely understandable and easy for me. Everyone with whom I dealt was professional, efficient, and compassionate. Celia was particularly helpful and will always have my eternal gratitude. I give this organization 5 stars and would like to give them 50 stores!

Words can't express how wonderful this facility was. I recently lost my younger sister and was completely distraught. Celia, Megan and Faith were so kind and considerate during this difficult time. They took the time to explain everything to me and showed true empathy throughout the whole process. I am truly grateful to them all. My mom passed on December 27 2018 . I could not have asked for a more careing staff then Simplicity. We called them when my mom passsed . They came with in the hour . They gave us some time to be with her . When we went to talk to Mr Allen he also helped use get my mom the flag and the military taps .My mom was a veteran. He also told use that we could wait and have a nice service later . So we chose to have her service on June 29 2019 that was also would have been 99th Birthday. I would totally use Simplicity again when need be .Everthing turned out vary nice Thank you so much for your kindness .

I can’t begin to express our gratitude for Mr. Allen and Ms. Alex and staff. We lost my husband’s mother a year ago, his brother 2 weeks ago and his last surviving family member, his father, this week. It was the first time during the entire horrific process of dealing with cops and examiners and everyone else that my husband and I felt sincere compassion and professionalism. They understood all the complexities of our issues and they didn’t try to just “sell” you stuff. Extra stuff like urns were available but weren’t pushed. They drove out an hour and half in the middle of nowhere to receive our father and when they arrived the two gentlemen Austin and (can’t remember his name) arrived in a professional compassionate and understanding manner. They handled the entire situation with class and I can’t begin to thank them enough. We will never go anywhere else. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

It is never easy when a loved one passes. It's even harder when they are so young and did not have any final arrangements set up. We found Simplicity after calling multiple funeral homes and being crushed by the 2-3 thousand dollar quotes on just cremation. Your loved one that passed should have the right to be said goodbye to in a respectable manor. Simplicity was our saving grace. The price they charge is so reasonable and the staff is amazing. Alex walked with me through everything and was so kind during it. The owner Tom(sorry if this is the wrong first name) was so good to us the day we got to say good bye to our sister. Her body looked beautiful and the room and time they allow you with your loved one was everything we needed. I would recommend Simplicity to everyone. Thank you to the owner and staff you truly were a God sent to my family and we will forever be grateful.

Simplicity Cremation helped my family 2 years ago when my uncle passed away, and Tom Allen was wonderful. When my uncle passed here in Maryland, his ashes were to go to his sister in California (my aunt)... So we thought it would be difficult between the two of us to get everything taken care of since she wasn't here and I was here but was not next of kin. Tom Allen worked with us and made everything all better. Not only did Tom make all of the logistics work (and at a very reasonable cost), but he also helped us with our stress... this is hard to explain but his voice and his personality are very comforting. Just last month my father passed away and I was relieved to know that I could call Tom again and that it would be one thing I did not have to lose my mind over. I called Tom and was instantly reminded of how comforting he is during the hard time of losing a loved one. Unfortunately, Simplicity Cremation did not have a license in Washington DC where my father was, but Tom was able to recommend me to a friend/colleague of his. Tom's recommendation was spot on and I was happy with them as well. Tom also had very valuable information for me regarding the eventual burying of my dad's ashes when I am ready. He informed me of cemeteries and programs for veterans that I am looking into for my dad. Tom spent a lot of time helping me, even when he knew that he had no financial gain from me. He is very kind and his assistance is priceless.

With all my heart I thank Simplicity Cremation, Mr. Thomas Allen & company for their compassion, respectfulness and love with the recent death of my daddy! I am so appreciative to this company for all of the personal & professional care they gave to me and my family. Overall the service they provide is of the highest caliber while still being considerate to many families finances, maintaining affordability and transparency in the entire cremation process. It warms my heart that this company is a Veteran Owned company providing a loving and impeccable service to soo many in need. I recently lost my father rather unexpectedly. Having never had to deal with anything like this I consider myself fortunate to have been referred to Simplicity. From the first moment I spoke with Tom on the phone he was very friendly and helpful. He understood exactly what needs I had and even anticipated some I was not aware of. He promptly and professionally handled every need for my father and was genuinely sympathetic to the situation. You can tell he is in the business to help people. Tom's assistant Alex was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Simplicity, the price is very good and the service is EXTREMELY HIGH VALUE. I did contact a few other service providers and besides the price being much higher they all seemed to just be going through the motions.
