Martin A. Cisna

Martin Andrew Cisna passed away Monday November 17, 2025 at his home in Pasadena MD, in the loving arms of his wife Barbara. His well fought battle with cancer has come to an end. He was the first born child to Mary June Cisna and Elmer Andrew Cisna. He is survived by his wife Barbara Baran-Cisna (married August 21, 1998 until present), His mother M. June Cisna, Brothers Christopher (Luanne) and John (Stephanie). Preceded in death by his father, E. Andy Cisna, brother Drew and sister Mary. Survived by his previous wife Evelyn C. Berman mother of his son M. Joseph Cisna (Andrea) and daughter Leslie McQuade (Michael), Also survived by his grandchildren Lillian Giles (Aiden), Maggie McQuade, Benjamin Cisna and Maryn McQuade and several nephews and nieces. He loved his family deeply. In his 13 year retirement, Martin enjoyed becoming a “snowbird” with Barbara and their time on Key Colony Beach, FL where he would hide from the sun. He did decide that sandals were not the worst thing ever. Somehow he managed a slight tan before coming back to Maryland each year. Prior to retirement, he worked for the U.S. government for 16 years, but we can not tell you what he did there, because it was "need to know” only. Prior to the government job he worked as a master electrician and founded Martin E.E. in 1987 which he proudly sold in 1995. Martin received a draft notice and joined the U.S. Navy, instead of being forced, he arrived first at Fort Holabird in Baltimore MD before spending 2 years in Vietnam. Martin was an avid car enthusiast, starting in his teens holding a Corvette club at Champs where he forged lifelong friendships, with and survived by Ralph Koon, Chris Fedrick and preceded in death, George Tucker. Also survived by his good friend Joe Tavner. In his younger days he enjoyed his jet boat with the rooster tail. Later he enjoyed bullroasts and some bartending at the VFW in Pasadena. His love for technology was his hobby where he often woke in the middle of the night to program. Technology was his passion. The family will hold a celebration of life in the near future. In lieu of flowers, Martin requested donations to St. Jude’s or Shriner’s children to help children fight cancer .
