Marie Theresa Dorcon Lubozynski

Marie Theresa Lubozynski passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 after a long illness. She was born on December 24, 1937, in Stockdale, PA. Named Marie Beatrice at birth, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Shimlastik) Dorcon, and spent her childhood in Fayette City, PA. Marie was preceded in death in 2010 by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Lubozynski. Marie was a devoted wife to Joe and loving mother of Joseph A. Lubozynski of Frederick, Mary Rose Blosser of Boca Raton, Florida, Lisa Lubozynski of East Aurora, New York, Gina Schofield and husband Michael of Annapolis, Maryland; six grandchildren; Todd Blosser and wife Lauren, Tara Blosser, Michael Dudley and wife Jessica, Brian Dudley, and Kevin and Matthew Schofield; four great-grandchildren: Joseph Elon and Sandra Rose Blosser, and Theodore Michael and Beatrice Eleanor Dudley. She is also survived sister Delores Hussar and husband Alvin, sister-in-laws Vera Lubozynski and Carol Dorcon, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Anthony Dorcon. Marie cared for Joe’s four children after the passing of their birth mother, Mary Rose D'Orazio in 1958. Marie fell in love with Joe and his children, and they married in 1963. As written in Proverbs 31:29, “Many are the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all.” Marie was a longtime resident of the Eastview community in Frederick, Maryland. Her energy and creativity left a lasting impression on everyone and everything she touched. Her life passions were her artwork, entertaining, and caring for animals. Marie will be fondly remembered for her generosity and a heart open to all. Marie lived her life as quoted in her Belmar High School yearbook: “I am free as a breeze and I do as I please, leaves gladly”. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and care managers at Sunrise Senior Living of Severna Park, Hospice of the Chesapeake, and the Mandrin (Hospice) House of Harwood.
