Jonathan David Fava

Jonathan David Fava—affectionately known as “Bubba”—of Severna Park, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, Maryland. He was surrounded by his family and closest friend. Born September 29, 1980, in Baltimore, Jon was the beloved son of James (Jim) and Donna Fava (née Neu). He grew up in Pasadena, where his love of the water and outdoors were fostered. Jon attended high school at Loyola Blakefield and went on to graduate from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, where he studied both Marketing and Entrepreneurship & Emerging Enterprises—fields that suited his incredible natural ability to connect with people. After college, Jon returned home to the Baltimore area and began what would become a 23-plus year career in sales, working with Depalo & Sons and later Penn Jersey Paper. His ability to make connections, develop relationships and truly care about his customers earned him numerous accolades and awards that reflected not only his talent, but honored the way he treated others. While he enjoyed his work, the true love of his life was Lorrie. They met in Canton and enjoyed all the city had to offer - time out with friends and going to Ravens games. They were married on July 16, 2011 and as their family grew, they left the city and moved to Severna Park. Jon found in Lorrie a lifelong partner for travel and adventure, but also tackling whatever life threw at them, together. Life with Bubba was filled with his family and friends. He loved being on the water – particularly on a powerboat or jet ski. He always made time to vacation at the ocean, but also showed his children his love of skiing with trips to Seven Springs and Colorado. He loved his kids soccer games, swim meets, wrestling matches and baseball doubleheaders. Bubba was seemingly quiet – until you made him laugh and there was no mistaking who it came from or that it was born of love. Jon is survived by his beloved wife, Lorrie Fava (née Seborg); their children, Jake and Hadley; his parents, Jim and Donna; his brother, Joe Fava and Marisa; his sister, Lauren Hamper (née Fava) and Tom; Lorrie’s mother Andrea Eckles; Lorrie’s father Kevin Seborg and wife Yvette; his sisters-in-law Susan Seborg-Rackley and Joey; Lilyann Allgaier (née Eckles) and Sam; and Kirstyn Eckles. Jon was an adoring uncle to Ben, Annabel, Charlotte, Adriana, Nathan, Lux, Seve, and Caroline. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 110 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, Maryland 21122. A reception will follow immediately at Kurtz’s Beach, 2070 Kurtz Avenue, Pasadena, Maryland 21122. All are welcome.
