Elizabeth Ann Feemster

We offer a farewell to Elizabeth "Betty Boo" Feemster. On February 15th, 2021 at 6:40 PM, in the company of loved ones and caretakers, prayer and songs, she came upon her eternal rest. After a long struggle with various physical challenges, and not too long after the loss of her beloved husband Alphonzo, in June of 2019, she is finally at peace. Her long and full life began in May of 1943. She has affected many lives in so many ways over many of those years. So, now we have an opportunity to positively reflect on those things from our own perspective. A lot of people knew of her interest in Betty Boop. Those closer to her may have even called it an obsession. She loved her music and was passionate about sharing it with others. She would sit in her car wherever she arrived until the song ended, music blasting, singing along at the top of her lungs. She also loved simple quiet moments, just sitting on her porch watching the butterflies and hummingbirds in her yard. She loved to travel taking multiple cruises together with her beloved Al. She was fearless, she took chances and was not afraid to fail. She may have made mistakes along the way, but she lived big. She was one of those blessed people that never gave a damn what other people thought of her, that was none of her business. It is a reasonable assumption that Betty saved every picture that ever crossed her path. The evidence of this was left behind in frames, boxes of picture albums and lots and lots of nail holes in the walls. In her later years, her generosity to others came without a second thought. This was especially true whenever possible where her great-grandchildren were concerned. It was like nothing else mattered in the many times she spent loving them. Watching her in these moments, you could sense her joy, as she basked in their presence and just bloomed in the possibility of new beginnings as her face, her heart and of course her volume elevated. So as her final resting period begins, we can now only hope that she finds similar peace in this very new resting place of her very own, with her Mother, son Robert and her Beloved Alphonzo to keep her company. This is the perspective of only one person of the many, whose life was touched by her. Please honor her life by sharing your own experience with her. Rest in peace our beloved.
