Catherine Feeley

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Catherine Carol Feeley. She left this earthly realm on November 12, 2024, after a long crusade with dementia and aphasia. She was 71 years old. Catherine - or Cathy, as she was known to friends - had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. Strangers would tell her their life histories or troubles even during a short wait at a bus stop, she had that approachable trusting nature. She made friends everywhere she went. She found people interesting and always had time to listen to a stranger’s story. Her greatest love was her family and friends (closely followed by dancing, crabs, and beer!) and she took the most pride in being a Nana. Catherine’s passion for reading shined through in her expansive vocabulary and answers to trivia questions. She loved trying new things which reflected in her career path (radiology tech, entrepreneur with Bill in dollar stores, hardware stores, a propane sales company, running the parking lot at the Timonium State Fair, running a health food store, operating an HR company, computer science, selling real estate and even retail). If it were up to her, she would have spent every day on the beach in the Caribbean, toes in the sand, mixed drink in hand, listening to the waves and the Caribbean music with the warm breeze in her hair. She would get great joy out of dropping off a candy bar in a friend’s mailbox, swinging by and leaving a hand written note on a door ‘just saying hi’, paying for someone’s meal, coloring beautiful pictures to hand out, leaving a server a ridiculously large tip, or just finding a way to make someone smile. Cathy encouraged her daughters to be open-minded, always smile with their eyes, swim naked in the ocean and most importantly have fun! The days were a little brighter when Cathy was involved. She always believed that her soul would move on in an energy that could roam the Earth, so when you feel the sunshine on your face, the sand in your toes, the ocean waves beneath you, or a warm breeze tickle your cheeks, think about Cathy’s energy reaching out to make you smile. Catherine is survived by her 2 children Jennifer Feeley and Megan Boone, her 4 grandchildren Isabella, Haley, Lilly and Joseph, her ex-husband William Feeley, Jr and her son-in laws Joseph Boone and Michael Coppola. The family will be organizing a private family celebration of life, and they invite you to join them once arrangements have been made (details to be provided via social media and personal outreach). Her ashes will be scattered at a future date. The family also wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Autumn Lakes in Catonsville for their care and compassion and for the hospice staff at AccentCare who helped her (and her family) with her final transition.
