Brenna Cole

Brenna Rose Cole was born on December 31st 1989, in San Diego, California. She passed away on March 14th 2024. She is survived by her mother, Cathy Cole and her twin sister, Erin Cole. She was a caring daughter, loving sister and devoted friend. Her soul will continue to live on through her adoring family. She was known for her unwavering kindness, superior intellect, and endless commitment to God. At a young age, Brenna displayed great interest in hobbies such as crocheting and knitting, music, and dancing, along with traveling and mentorship. She adventurously tried new things. Whether it was a new cuisine or a new activity, Brenna was not afraid to get out of her comfort zone. Brenna was a fantastic dancer and loved to express herself through creative pursuits in ballet and ballroom dance. Hence, no matter where she traveled, she explored the different cultures through their music and dancing. As a world traveler, Brenna lived in Spain, directly enrolling in Comillas Pontifical University and becoming fluent in Spanish. She also lived in South Korea and taught English to young children. She leisurely visited many other countries, including The Philippines, Japan, India, China, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Peru, Morocco and Canada. Whether traveling to a new country or sitting in the local coffee shop, Brenna took great pride in being a diligent academic. She was a classroom leader and prolific writer. She was always a high-achieving student, receiving many accolades, awards, and honors. Brenna attended La Costa Canyon High School, graduated with two bachelor’s degrees in International Studies with a minor in Economics and in Spanish with a minor in Economics from Seattle University. After moving to Maryland, she pursued masters programs, earning an MBA and a Masters in Public Policy, at University of Maryland College Park, then pursued a career in the federal government. Brenna used these opportunities to mentor and support others within the United States and around the world. She used her strong leadership skills to give back to her academic institutions through student mentoring. As an alumnus, she supported many new and returning cohorts with personal coaching and career development. Brenna got tremendous pleasure from helping and giving to those she loved and anyone in need. She kept in close contact with her family and friends. Brenna always made herself available if you needed help. Lastly, she took great pleasure in creating beautiful homemade crochet and knitting gifts for those closest to her heart. As a woman of great faith in Jesus Christ, Brenna lived her life in service to God. She volunteered at special events and sang beautifully in her church choir. Brenna will be greatly missed for her unique, genuine, and selfless nature. We continue to be grateful for Brenna’s impactful contributions to everyone around her. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
