William Paris Murray Jr

William Paris Murray, Jr. was born in Rose Hill, NC to the late William Paris Murray Sr. and Lillian Davis Coston Murray on September 3rd, 1955. He was the 3rd of ten children. William suddenly passed on December 25, 2025 in Silver Springs, MD of natural causes. William attended public school in Lexington Park Maryland, and graduated from Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland. As a teenager, He loved playing basketball, and listening to music. He was so good at basketball they called him “Boom Boom” or just “Boom” for making incredible long shots back to back. William was married to Hazel Marie Neal Murray and to this union was born three children, William Paris Murray III, Wanda Linn Murray, and Tina Louise Murray. All are long term Jehovah’s Witnesses. Before being disabled William worked long term for University of Michigan Sports Center, UPS, Hertz, and McDonald’s. William was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Ellicott City, Maryland, and in Calloway, Maryland, before moving to Columbia and attending the Hall in Clarksville, Maryland. William loved praying to Jehovah and expressing to Him his appreciation for all that he did for him and his family. He also enjoyed telling others about Jehovah and the promises that Jehovah has for us in the future. Many knew William as a happy man with a bright, warm smile and laugh. William’s favorite scriptures were Isaiah 35:5, 6, “At that time the eyes of the blind will be opened, And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. At that time the lame will leap like the deer, And the tongue of the speechless will shout for joy. For waters will burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert plain.” William loved Jehovah! William was preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Lillian Murray, his siblings Rozellia Hurt and Dennis Murray. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Hazel Neal Murray; his son William Paris Murray III, daughters Wanda Murray, Tina Murray, step-daughter, Janice Wilson; his siblings Barbara Spencer, Durwood Murray, Angela Caesar (Randy), Rhonda Shade (Donnie), Russell Murray (Loretta), Sheldon Murray, Michael Murray, Sheila Shavers, Brenda Manns, Kendra Robinson, and a host of relatives, friends, and acquaintances.
