Terri Kathryn James

Terri Kathryn James went to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the age of 51 after fighting a long battle with cancer. A beloved mother of two amazing sons, Trevor Brillian and Seth James, whom she loved more than anything else in this world. Wife to late husband, Jeffery James. Daughter to father, Bradley L. Conner, Sr. and Brenda Conner, and late mother, Patricia A. McNeal. Sister to Monica Champion and Craig, Bradley Conner, Jr and Heather, Terri Smith, Garrett McNeal, and Michael McNeal, Sr. Aunt to Tyler and Ryleigh Conner, Kimberlyn Smith, Kody, Christian, and Tanner McNeal, Michael Jr., Kyle, and Noelle McNeal. Loved by her life partner, Robert Babcock, Jr. Loved by her step-children, whom she loved as her own, Devan Brillian, Julie and Aaron James, and Ashley Babcock. And she loved being ‘Grams’ to her step-grandchildren, Alec, Lucy, Lucas, Thalia, and Finn. She was loved by many extended family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, and by her spouse’s and partner’s families who have always thought of her as their family. She will be remembered by family and friends as a beautiful, loving, kind, intelligent, compassionate person with an infectious smile who had a zest for life, a fierceness for protecting her family, always had a kind word of encouragement, and wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. She was known to love her pets as much as she loved anyone else. And she was a proud student at SNHU, where she was determined to get her degree in Telecommunications no matter her age. She was born at Beale Air Force Base in Marysville, CA and grew up in Norfolk, VA, where she went to Lake Taylor HS; loved playing softball and being on the swim team, and graduated from Bayside HS in Virginia Beach, VA. From there she moved to northern VA, started working for the government and eventually met her first husband and had her son, Trevor. Several years later she met her late husband, Jeff, moved to MD and had her son, Seth. As a long-time resident of Glen Burnie, she had a long career as a Telecom Engineer with Vixxo and then with General Dynamics Information Technology. She loved her Washington Capitals hockey team and went to as many games as she could. She loved 80’s music, going on cruises, spending time at Block Island, and Halloween or any reason she could find to dress up in costume. Her love and fight for life will be missed by all that know and love her. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 6, 2021 at 3:00pm at Abundant Life Church at 7305 E Furnace Branch Rd, Glen Burnie, MD 21060.
