Sherry Rowland

Sherry A. Rowland, of Glen Burnie, Md., passed away January 6, 2018. She was 44 years old. Sherry is survived by her husband, Troy Rowland of Glen Burnie, Md., her parents Gary & Betty Bagley of Parrish, Fl., Gary & Sharon Clum of Rochester, NY., her maternal grandmother Lorraine Hartrich of Apalachin, NY., her aunt Lee Carlin of Apalachin, NY., her sister and brother-in-law Barb & Jeff Owren of Canandaigua, NY., her brother and sister-in-law Steve & Cindy Bagley of Fairport, NY., as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Sherry was born Sherry Ann Clum on August 6, 1973 in Rochester, NY. She attended and graduated from Canandaigua High School in 1991. She attended vocational school then began pursuing a career in retail management. Throughout her career, Sherry mentored many people, touching their lives through her dedication to their success and the warmth of her heart. It was always more important to put her co-workers before her self interests and goals. Everyone that knew her and/or worked with or for her, remembers her smile, her laugh and her generosity. Sherry had a deep love and appreciation for kids and animals. She leaves with her husband three fur kids that she loved and adored like children, as well as the many that preceded her in death. Sherry loved and nurtured her stepson like her own. Sherry was that person that would sacrifice of herself to give and help a stranger or a stray. When not working, Sherry’s passions included music, dancing, swimming and her gift for cooking. Sherry would make the most wonderful meal from basically anything, all without formal training or recipes. She would often joke that she could not be a baker, because there was no way she could stand to measure every item and not put her spin on it. Side note, when she did bake, she barely measured and the result would be better than any out there! In Sherry’s death, she gave of herself one last time. Sherry is an organ and tissue donor, and based on information from the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland, she will improve/save the lives of up to 50 people including children. Not only does her spirit and memory live on, but so does her physical love through her gifts. The family will be having private services to spread Sherry’s cremains at a beach in Delaware, and her family’s summer lake cottage in Bath, NY. These were Sherry’s most favorite and cherished places. The family requests that any desire to contribute to the memory of Sherry, to please make a donation in her name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the ASPCA. Through these contributions, you will honor that which was most dear to her giving heart.
