Patricia Ann Feiler

Patricia Ann “Pat” Feiler (formerly Meyers) passed away in the early morning hours on July 4, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland to Eva Ballard (formerly Pease) and the late William Cook. She is the mother of Jason Feiler and his wife, Laura, and the grandmother of Joey and Ian. She is the sister of Wayne Meyers and his wife, Denise, and Brenda Parker and her husband, Gary, and was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Ballard, her sister, Donna Spence, and her brother, Russell Ballard, and is survived by his wife, Val. She is the aunt of Nate and Rachel Parker and Emily Everly, Cassie Costin, Wesley Green and Timmy Eicher. She is also survived by her best friend of over 55 years, Pam Latini. Born and raised in Maryland, Pat moved to California to finish high school. She returned to Maryland where she married and became a mom. Pat began her career in advertising and went on to spend many years working at Trahan, Burden and Charles and later at The Campbell Group in Baltimore. In the late 1990s, Pat moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she worked in property management. In 2005, she became a grandmother and moved back to Maryland to be closer to her family. She began the next phase of her career working in the nonprofit sector, first at the YMCA of Central Maryland and then ending her career at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. These are the details of Pat’s life but they don’t tell her story. Pat was a free spirit, peace and love always flowing from her. She had a big laugh, a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Jason was the one who could make her laugh the most. Pat was an overcomer and quietly offered her hand to help others up. She was a great conversationalist, easy to talk to and an even better listener. Her deep bonds with her family were woven throughout her entire life. Pat had many loves in her life. A good cup of coffee. Summer family reunions at Catoctin playing Yahtzee. Hosting family in her home. Most Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter memories are thanks to her. Her infamous apple cake; Jason finally found the recipe. (Well, two of them. He will make them both.) Seeing her grandsons grow into young men. Celebrating who they are and what they love. Sharing so much of her life with her mom. Soaking up the beach, sunshine and salt air. Being the photographer, documenting life through her camera lens. Her cat, Abby, who loves treats, being brushed and taking up most of the bed. Always staying connected to friends made throughout her lifetime. Her last days were marked by remarkable clarity. She gave and received love. Family and friends surrounded her. She and Jason spent over a week together, a treasured gift of time. A Celebration of Life is being planned for early fall, and details will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her grandson Ian’s dance team for dancers with disabilities. He will carry her spirit with him, as will all of us who knew her. The bumper sticker on her car displayed one of her favorite quotes: “What a long, strange trip it’s been.” May you find peace on this next journey, Pat. We will see you when we get there.
