Mark L. Reynolds

Mark L. Reynolds, age 70, died at Baltimore Washington Medical Center under the care of Hospice of the Chesapeake on March 11, 2026. He was the husband of Constance Reynolds of Glen Burnie. Mark was born in Lynchburg VA on Feb. 11, 1956. After moving to Baltimore, he and his sister lived with the Ubel family at their farm and stables where the teens developed a love of horses. Mark attended Woodlawn Senior High School after which he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1973. He was stationed at Dover AFB and served as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. Mark was honorably discharged in 1977 and settled in Clarkton NC where he continued his education in electrical engineering. After returning to the Baltimore area in 1985, he joined the maintenance department at Wheelabrator’s refuse-to-energy facility in Baltimore. During his more than 30-year engineering career, Mark also worked as a field service turbine technician at various power plants throughout North America. While working at Wheelabrator, he met his future wife Connie. The Reynolds would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary in April. He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin Reynolds, Catherine Reynolds, foster parents Carroll and Gertrude Ubel of Taneytown MD and his beloved canine companion Buddy. Mark enjoyed fishing the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay and kept a boat in the Point Pleasant area. He was a lifelong member of The American Legion and was a fan of the TV series “Yellowstone” and western movies. Many friends remember Mark for his intelligence, quick wit, sense of humor and generosity. A former manager said of Mark… “ he was a unique individual who was blessed with an incredibly strong technical competence unrivaled by anyone else.” In addition to his wife, he is survived by sister Donna (George) Bernardini and niece Rhiannon Bernardini of Wattsburg, PA, and sister Heather Day of Catonsville MD. He leaves behind in-laws, the Ackermans of southeastern PA, and lifelong friends the Gebauer family of Glen Burnie, the Mason-Bucka family of Bel Air, and the Devore family of Hampstead. Private family arrangements were managed by Simplicity Cremation Service of Glen Burnie.
