Obituary Sunrise: October 8, 1940 Sunset: October 21, 2019 Kimberly Michelle Reid, 35, of Charlestown WV, departed this life suddenly on Monday October 21, 2019 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. Kimberly was born in Frankfurt, Germany on October 8, 1984 to Augusta A. (Malcome) Reid and Vincent F. Reid. She was the younger of two children. She was the mother of one darling little boy, Amari Christopher Elerby of whom she loved dearly. Kimberly, also known as "Kim" and "Kimmie" to many of her cousins was a 2003 gradtuate of Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction WV. She also attended the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore majoring in their Vocal Music Program. During her high school years Kimberly was a member of the Jefferson Pop Singers, the Vocal Music Ensemble and the band. She was a senior class officer and member of the National Honor Society. She was also involved in numerous school clubs and social groups. Kimberly was known for that beautiful, infectious smile she always possessed from infancy to adulthood. She was always there in some manner to assist her family and friends when able. The apple of Kimberly's eye was her son Amari. She was always grateful to God for blessing her with him. There was a genuine and divine love among them that no one could break. If she cried, he would sometimes do the same, or just lay there and pat his mommy. If she laughed, many times he would just break out in laughter. If she hurt or felt bad, he connected. She always said, "I thank God for giving me him (Amari)." Kimberly was a member of the Sylvannah Praise and Worship and Healing Center in Rippon, WV under the pastorship of Rev. Lawrence E. Wilson. Kimberly was preceded in death by one sister, JaNece N. Reid; her maternal grandparents, Roland H. and Ollie L. (Robinson) Malcome; paternal grandparents, Joseph F. and Amanda (Ligon) Reid; and one uncle, Roland B. Malcome. She leaves to mourn her parents: Vincent F. Reid (Essex, MD) and Augusta A. (Malcome) Reid (Charlestown, WV); one uncle, James Malcolm (Washington DC) and one god-sister, Jillian Brown (Charlotte, NC) and a host of relatives and friends. "Kimberly Michelle Reid.
