David Christopher Tucci, Jr.

David Christopher Tucci, Jr. (“Christopher”), born on June 5, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland, and the cherished first-born son of Jeanne Reilly Hook (“Reilly”), suffered from organ failure, leaving this world on January 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones, love, and countless ‘I love yous.’ Christopher's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who survive him. He is dearly missed by his siblings, Savannah, Noah, Jordan, Mellissa, Phelicia, David, and Walter, as well as his parents Reilly and Walter, grandparents Barbara and William McDougall, his aunt Cathe Wiseman and uncle Kevin Wiseman, and many of those who became his chosen family, including Samantha High, Beth Evans, and Debbie Myers. Christopher was predeceased by his fathers, David Christopher Tucci Sr., and Christopher Jordan Sager Sr., along with his aunt, Holly Wiseman, grandfather, Louis Tucci, grandmother, Jeanne Bartynski, grandfather, Sunny Wiseman, and great grandmother, Anna Tucci. A true enthusiast at heart, Christopher found solace and passion in the world of mechanics, cars and technology. His skillful hands could fix just about anything, and his love for tinkering will be remembered by those who had the pleasure of witnessing his craft, even if he did sometimes break things even more with all his tinkering. Beyond his mechanical prowess, Christopher had a unique talent for spreading joy. Always looking to put a smile on someone's face, a call or text with a joke or an ‘I Love You’ was never out of the question. If you had the pleasure (albeit sometimes terrifying experience) of driving around with Christopher, you knew he would be blaring ‘your song,’ with every word memorized, singing right along with you. Christopher was the fun uncle, loved his beloved dog Shelby and two cats Sasha and P. This, coupled with his warm smile and big hugs, served as a testament to Christopher’s affectionate and loving nature. And while we are focused on all the positive aspects of Christopher’s life and the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him, it is impossible not to acknowledge that Christopher experienced more than his fair share of sadness and trouble over the course of his life. As we remember the past and look toward the future, we think of Footprints in the Sand: “One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it: "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The Lord replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." And now, from his place beside the Lord, we know Christopher will be helping guide and carry all those he leaves behind. Christopher’s memory will forever be engraved in our hearts, and his memory will continue to bring warmth and laughter to our lives. May he rest in peace. In celebration of Christopher's life, a gathering will be held to honor his memory. Details regarding the date, time, and location of this Celebration of Life will be provided at a later date.
