Anthony James Moschetti

Anthony James "Tony" Moschetti, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Howard County Hospital in Columbia Maryland after a prolonged illness. Tony Moschetti was born in Nashville, Tennessee on October 27, 1955 to the late Anthony and Ruth Moschetti. Following a move from Houston, TX his family finally Settled in Greensburg, Pa. Where Tony attended and graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic High School after which he attended St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Tony relocated to Maryland, where he met and married his beloved wife Jeanne Van Hoesen. Tony and Jeanne settled in Jessup, Maryland in order to be close to Jeanne's son Michael Waple, and her parents the late Norman and Lily Van Hoesen. Tony was employed by SteriTech as the Operation’s Manager for the Maryland and Washington D.C. area where he retired with over 20 years of continuous service. Over the years Tony’s area of responsibility included Historic Museums of the Smithsonian Institution, US Federal Buildings and countless Commercial clients throughout the National Capital Region. Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his entire life. In his younger years, he hunted and fished with his father throughout the mountains and streams of western Pennsylvania. His hunting skills, knowledge and abilities were noted when he was selected to participate in numerous Maryland Managed Hunts, designed to control local deer populations in the state of Maryland. He was quite proud of his deer chili recipe, a staple at all family events. Living close to the Chesapeake Bay, Tony and Jeanne purchased a fishing boat. They enjoyed weekly fishing excursions with family and friends from the first day of Rockfish session until the last days of fall. Tony proudly navigated the waters of the Chesapeake Bay as Captain of his own ship. Tony enjoyed his last years with Jeanne taking care of their home, Cat, and bountiful vegetable garden. Tony is survived by his wife Jeanne Moschetti, and her son, Michael Waple and Granddaughter, Amanda Waple. He is also survived by his sisters and their husbands, Marcia and Mark Kubas, Patricia and Timothy Adams, and Susan and Kenneth Gilley. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and cousins. Tony was an individual with many talents. His sense of humor and quick wit caused many hilarious moments. His memory is cherished by all that knew and loved him. May he rest in the peace of the Lord, surrounded by love and light.
