Andrew Thomas Rogers

Andrew Thomas (Tom) Rogers, 71 of Glen Burnie passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Tom was born on April 10, 1952, in Baltimore to the late Frank Wilson and Mildred Wilson (now Rogers). He attended Glen Burnie High School. In 1969, he joined the US Army and was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1973. He worked several jobs including driving for BG&E, selling for Frito Lay, and as a Senior Sales Rep for Mazo-Lerch and Atlantic Foods in the Baltimore metro area. Tom owned Airline Limousine Service and had the pleasure of working/driving for Steve Bisciotti for 23 years. Tom was not only an avid sports enthusiast but was a good basketball player in his own right. He played and coached at Sawmill Creek Park in Glen Burnie where he earned the respect of the many tough street players he competed with. He enjoyed staying fit through weight training, riding his bicycle, and cutting lawns. Tom developed a great love for the Baltimore Ravens and through his work, developed many personal connections with current and former Raven’s players, management, and staff. His home office is a shrine to the Ravens and their many successes. He equally admired University of Maryland basketball throughout the years Gary Williams coached the team. Tom also loved, “Detroit Muscle,” powered by Ford and Lincoln cars and trucks. He also loved 60’s and 70’s rock and roll and was a real audiophile. Tom also loved to have fun and tease the children of family members and was loved in return for the joy he gave. Tom is survived by his life and domestic partner Angela Endres, his mother, Mildred Rogers; his brothers, Larry Rogers (Barbara), and Charles Rogers (Lorie), his nieces, Lara Aulestia (Adam), and Amy Thom (Werner) and nephew Matthew Rogers (Katie). He is also survived by and greatly loved by Angela’s children Christopher (Christina), and Carl and Angela’s grandchildren Sailor (Brea), and Atlas. Tom was preceded in death by his birth father, Frank Wilson, and by his adoptive father, Stanley Rogers. A celebration of life for Tom will be held on April 6, 2024, at the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church, located at 5 2nd Ave SE, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. The gathering will be from 10:30 – 12:30, and the service will be at 11:00.
