Andrew Charles Law

Andrew (Pooman/Lawdog) Law. In typical Andrew style, his last act was that of kindness and helpfulness to his sister Tina and “brother” Rohan. For those of you who knew him, this would make perfect sense because he was always a true friend and always made sure he took care of the people he loved... and sometimes, if you were lucky.. the people he liked or moreover tolerated. Andy was what many would call an over-indulger. A true lover all of things pleasure, Andy enjoyed overdoing most things; eating, drinking chocolate milk, joking, laughing, smoking, and a variety of other “delights”. For those of you who might not have known Andy, he was a self-taught master guitarist. He had the ability to listen to a song and play it for you in a day or two. Guitar wasn’t his only musical talent. Andy could fart like a champion bassoonist and could have been a gold medal winner if it were an Olympic sport. He had a wealth of useless knowledge about Rome and the Family Guy and would have been my “life line” if I ever was a contestant on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”. No one knew more about the Grateful Dead, no one. He could hear a song, any song, and tell you the year and venue. It was quite impressive. Not something you could put on a resume... but impressive. For the most part, ok maybe not the most part, but in general, Andy was a reliable guy, especially to his dad, George. He made sure his dad was taken care of and had what he needed pretty much every day. Andy left behind his artwork, as drawing and creating were a huge passion. The stuff he drew and created was weird as hell, but he was a true talent, making every holiday card an original... just for you. You never had to wonder how Andy felt... He had no problem telling you were stupid, wrong, awesome, or that he was mad and was about to hang up the phone. But he’s always call back. He didn’t care about your rules and often times your feelings, but he was a true gentleman when he needed to be and an exceptional brother and son. But in all sincerity, Andy will be missed in a huge way for his companionship, friendship, listening ear, horrible relationship advice, outrageous voice messages and texts, extraordinary talent, and gas issues. He was his sister’s best friend and basically the best wife my dad ever had. We aren’t quite sure what took him down, but I suspect it was the chocolate milk and Jerry Garcia needed a new band member.
